In the Field
A Farmer in Action:
The Regionals of AAPRESID organize their field days called "A Farmer in Action" with a regional scope. They aim to show the regional situation, and to develop and exchange experiences related to No-till, showing the results out in the open field.
The Regional Farmer in Action has become a true meeting of exchange and training since recent meetings have succeeded in gathering over 200 farmers, sometimes even 500.
This year we held “A Farmer in Action, Special Edition”. It consisted in visiting a farm that is of great interest because of its production system. That day, gates opened for participants to watch the method and work carried out by that farmer.
Experience has shown that these events are highly interesting for the attendants because they have the opportunity of exchanging opinions related to the management of production systems, inputs, and personal and regional experiences. These events also allow the direct contact of the companies that are associates of AAPRESID with the farmers and technicians who are always in the van of advances related to agriculture and stockbreeding.
These events gather around 800 and 1200 participants, all of them farmers from different regions and with different experiences in No-Till system.
Indoors
- National Congress
Every year we organize a National Congress, which gathers about 1,200 people, where conferences, discussions, exchange tables, panels, and super-panels of discussion take place.
The Congress has become the most important national event related to agronomic knowledge. It is an event where many people from other countries and almost a hundred of specialists participate.
The topics dealt with have to do with the mission that AAPRESID, as an organization, has.
A suitable environment for our associate companies since they do not only have the opportunity of showing their products and advances but also of being in contact with groups of technicians and producers who are leaders in the development of No-Till, people who are pioneers of no-till in their own region, and who are imitated by their partners.
- Regional Seminars for Farmers
These events take place in far-away areas to complement the topics discussed at the Congress and to deal with specific matters of regional and local concern in a more suitable way.
