Institutional - Network of Innovative

The aim of the founders of AAPRESID (Asociación Argentina de Productores de Siembra Directa, Argentine No-till Farmers Association) was to create a group to exchange knowledge and experiences related to No-Till system. To do so, they organized different events, which became more and more frequent, such as Field Days, Seminars, Congresses, Technical Exchange Days, Trials, and what is more, they issued publications on each crop, as well as news learnt after each campaign.

Today, thinking about all the activities developed during 15 years and under the slogan “The Challenge Is To Innovate”, we can say that AAPRESID is an open network of innovative farmers, receptive to scientific and technological advances, that aims to acquire knowledge and production; integrating research, technical assistance, and production; thus turning the activity into a professional one. We, the members of AAPRESID, are convinced that production methods must respect natural laws and look after the planet; trying that farming gets involved into a fair society, contributing to feed it with humility and pride.

The number of associates increases every year enriching “the open network” that is getting much stronger; adapting itself to the vertiginous changes that the farming sector and the whole world are facing.

AAPRESID understands that its capital lies in the qualification and generosity of its associates; and seeks that each of them finds in the institution the chance to grow individually as well as professionally while contributing to the development of his community.

  1. Institutional magazine:
A high-quality colored publication that includes testimonial articles, news about different products, advances of national and foreign specialists, and other information of interest.
It is "the Magazine" for the members of AAPRESID. Only six issues are edited annually, and sent to every associate.

  2. Technical Magazine:
It is a collection of information and discussions from the "Seminars or Courses". This magazine is not a manual, but a compilation of news and results of the last crop season, and of trials conducted by the Regionals of AAPRESID.

It is not a scientific publication, but an essential material to make decisions at the very right moment. Throughout the year, six magazines about crops are issued and sent to the associates. Three of them focus on the relevant issues related to each crop: Wheat, Maize, Soybean, Sunflower, and Sorghum; and the other three focus on "Crop rotation", "Fertility and Fertilization under No-till", and "Stockbreeding under No-till”. They also include different experiences lived by the Regionals, presentations given by well-known technicians and researchers in the Congress, and the like.

  3. Congress Manuals:
After every Congress two books are published, VOLUME I and II, that include the text of the conferences delivered in the Congress, exactly the way they were sent by the lecturers. It is a very special material, since it collects all the information presented in the Congress. It is a collector's item.
